The Regulations reflect requirements set out in the European Union Asbestos Workers’ Protection Directive. The new Regulations now include three levels of training which should be given to employees, this includes; training for non-licensable asbestos work, persons requiring this type of training would include those whose work will knowingly disturb ACMs, such as maintenance workers and their supervisors;

Asbestos type’s properties and risks
The effects of asbestos on workers health
The type’s uses and risks of ACM’s in buildings and plant
Procedures to deal with accidental exposure to asbestos
How to avoid the risks of ACM’s in buildings
Selection and use of the correct PPE and RPE
Maintaining your RPE and the relevance of face fit testing
Use control measures used on site for dust suppression
Cleaning down the work area
Cleanliness of plant and equipment
Correct waste handling on site
Practical session (optional).
This course is only offered as an in-house option, by arranging an in-house training course we come to you, by utilising in-house training it becomes considerably more cost effective, a ‘one off’ fixed price covers up to the maximum number of delegates allowed on the course, this significantly reduces individual costs per delegate.
