Why choose and IATP registered training provider....?
Before selecting a suitable asbestos training provider, there are a number of things that must first be considered. The Health & Safety Executive states that:
‘Training should be delivered in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L143, 'Work with asbestos containing materials’ and, for licensed work, Chapter 4 of HSG 247, 'Asbestos: the licensed contractors’ guide’. Asbestos training providers should also be able to demonstrate compliance with relevant standards.’
Requirements for asbestos training providers delivering any type of asbestos training
All asbestos training delivered by asbestos training providers must comply with the ACOP L143. Regulation 10 of L143 (Information, instruction and training), includes the following:
‘Competence of those providing training....
