  4. Legislative requirements on the non-domestic building owner;
  5. Implications of common parts of the domestic premises.
  6. Developing an asbestos management strategy.
  7. Planning surveys.
  8. The survey report.
  9. Material assessments (HSG 264).
  10. Priority assessments (HSG 227).
  11. Management options for control of risks. Asbestos, the historical use’s, types and characteristics.

Aims and objectives of this course:

The aim of this course is to provide a practical guide and adequate knowledge using HSE guidance document HSG 227 and ACOP L127 to enable the delegate to implement procedures in line with current legislation to fulfill the role of the Duty Holder as defined by Regulation 4 of The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006. Each delegate will be assessed by the use of a multi choice examination at the end of the course.

Course duration.

It is envisaged this course would be run over either 1 or 2 days depending upon the clients existing levels of knowledge or qualifications in asbestos management or asbestos awareness.

The UKASL P407 Management of asbestos training course can accommodate up to 15 delegates held in-house. Unlike other proficiency courses there are NO ADDITIONAL EXAMINATION FEES there is no pre-qualification to undertake this course. The course can be made bespoke to your requirements.
